Turnover Terms: Read Before You Lose

Why turnover matters
Every bonus on a casino platform comes with a turnover condition, often called wagering or rollover. This is the number of times you must bet your bonus amount, or bonus plus deposit, before you can withdraw any winnings. If you ignore this number, you may find that your balance is locked until you meet it. That can mean hours of play with no guarantee of profit.
In Malaysia, where players often use ringgit balances and prefer e-wallets like Touch 'n Go or GrabPay, the turnover is the same everywhere: it applies to your bonus in the currency you play. The key is to read it before you accept any offer. The lobby usually shows the requirement in the bonus terms, but it may be buried. You must click through to the full terms to see it.
Check the multiplier first
The most important figure is the multiplier, such as 5x, 10x, or 20x. This tells you how many times you must wager the bonus amount. For example, a RM100 bonus with a 10x turnover means you must place RM1,000 in bets before you can withdraw. A higher multiplier means more risk and more time. Always compare the multiplier across different offers on the site.
Look for the exact wording. Some bonuses state 'turnover on deposit plus bonus' instead of just the bonus. That is a big difference. If you deposit RM100 and get a RM100 bonus, a 10x on bonus only is RM1,000, but 10x on deposit plus bonus is RM2,000. You must know which one applies. The answer is usually in a footnote or a separate page.
Which games count?
Turnover requirements do not apply to all games equally. Slots often count 100%, but table games like blackjack or roulette may count only 10% or even 0%. This means if you try to play roulette to clear a turnover, you will need to bet ten times more than with slots. Some games, like live dealer tables, may be excluded entirely. Check the bonus terms for a list of eligible games.
The rest of the site starts at Alpha66.
The platform's lobby will show which games are available, but the terms page is where you find the contribution percentages. Look for a table or a short paragraph that lists game categories and their contribution rates. This is often the difference between a bonus that is easy to clear and one that is nearly impossible. If you play a game that does not count, your turnover progress will not change.
Time limits and maximum bets
Most turnover requirements come with a time limit, usually 7 to 30 days. If you do not meet the requirement within that period, the bonus and any winnings from it are forfeited. The exact number of days is always written in the terms. You should set a calendar reminder. In Malaysia, where players often deposit via bank transfer or FPX, the clock starts as soon as the bonus lands in your account.
There is also often a maximum bet limit while the bonus is active. For example, the terms may say you cannot bet more than RM30 per spin or RM100 per hand. If you exceed that, the platform may cancel your bonus. This is easy to miss if you are used to high stakes. Always read the section on 'maximum bet' and keep your stakes under the cap.

How to track your progress
Every reputable platform shows your turnover progress in your account. Look for a section called 'My Bonus' or 'Promotions' in the lobby. It will display how much you have wagered and how much is left. Check this regularly, especially after a long session. If the progress bar does not move, you are probably playing a game that does not count. Switch to an eligible game.
You can also do your own calculation. Multiply the bonus amount by the multiplier to get the total wager needed. Then subtract the amount you have already bet. Keep a simple note on your phone. This helps you avoid surprises at the cashier. If the site does not show progress, ask support. A clear answer means they are transparent.
